FFCincFR President's Luncheon
The guest speaker at the Luncheon will be one of the Club's favorite sons of the 1970's and 1980's - GARRY WILSON.
Garry Wilson, the courageous former Fitzroy rover, is one of Fitzroy's most distingished players. He was knocked around so much that he played the final years of his career wearing a helmet, which was unusual in the early 1980s, but it was a feature that made him well known amongst the footballing public. He says he was knocked out five or six times and, on about 20 occasions, finished a match with blurred vision.
Reds Foundation facilitates Brisbane Lions player sponsorship
For the first time since the Fitzroy Football Club resumed playing operations in 2009, the Brisbane Lions have moved to sponsor a Fitzroy player in the VAFA. Their choice in 2011 is Fitzroy's reigning Best and Fairest Patrick O’Connor. Pat is a hard-running midfielder for Fitzroy’s VAFA Premier C Division side whose standout 2010 campaign culminated in his name being etched on the Greg Roughsedge Perpetual Trophy as the team’s Best & Fairest player at the club’s annual ‘Redlow’ end-of-season presentation evening.

And Torch's son Jack lived up to his father's goalkicking reputation and kicked four in a gritty and important win over rival Ormond. It’s great to have such talented and community minded media people who provide us with great support.
